Perception and Memory in the Indovisual System
Perception is not just sensation, you know, you refer to it. We have to infer what's out in the world. And so in indivisual system, we're doing feature segmentation, object segmentation, a and objects recognition. When i'm recognizing something here, saini came into the office, and i recognize this as a chair, and this is a table. Part of that process is that i have a history of tables and chairs. Aand being able to recognize people from their faces is a perceptual skill. Some people just can't do that either. Its condition called face blindness, or proso magnosia.
