The Evolution of Consensual Non-Monogamy

Why is it that consensual non-monogamy is so morally condemned? I bet there should be some evolutionary rationale behind that, right? Yeah. What I would argue is that stigma, that is moralizing a certain behavior, does serve a purpose. To stigmatize those kinds of behaviors may have historically served the purpose of reducing those costs to individuals and the communities into which they're nested.
