When he was five years old, living in the on his brother's and dad were making shake shingles. He desperately wanted to be a part of that but they said no you're going to hurt yourself. And so every day his mother would make him tell the story of what happened. "That can't sit on top of you for the rest of your life," she says. But if you tell it often enough then it just becomes a story about your life.
