The Four Companies That Deconstructed Who We Are
The four companies have been able to deconstruct who we are as a species and then reassemble who we are in the form of for-profit companies. Google is a modern man's God, if you will. Facebook has given us the ability to love at scale, specifically through the empathy we develop with their photos. Amazon is our consumptive self. Once we feel we're going to survive, the next instinct is to procreate. I believe Apple is now the ultimate device that signals your genes, signalsYour power or your opportunity or your attractiveness as a mate. It signals wealth, it signals power, and it signals your likelihood of having a random sexual encounter.
