The 60s were a tough time for troubled children. Suzy's mother was having an affair, and she found out about it in the middle of school. Hannah is not afraid of her parents getting divorced; back then that meant you could be ostracized from your entire city. There are behaviors that are unexplained by other things but when you look at adjustment disorder, it means something happened that caused these behaviors.
