Rising levels of parental pressure and criticism are major contributors to the increase in perfectionism among students. These data suggest that not only will we see more perfections in young people, but that high perfection of young people is going to carry through with them as they age. As the economys shifted, and as it's become much tougher to move up, young people are finding themselves moving backwards. There's a lot of pressure in social media, mostly driven by the profit motive because i see making people feel miserable about themselves is really profitable. That's classic advertising tactics. Ando all these things, undoubtedly contributing, can be linked back to what we value as a society andand what our economy
