The Importance of Having a Serious Purpose
I've seen people get hung up with the idea that you can't make art unless you have a serious purpose or a concept behind it. I'm so hung up on it that I still sometimes look at degree programs and think, should I do some yes, you know, do an MA and spend a couple of years really do? And then I think, do you know what, I absolutely hate being told what to do. I want to do my own thing. And I don't want to have to go start making pots or something because that's what we're doing. So I have to remind myself but it's so much ingrained. I've even thought of going doing an A level
