Have You Ever Had to Use Your Gun?
There are very, very few of us that actually ever have to fire our weapon at another human being. In some departments, it's an automatic disability, because they don't trust you to be able to make that decision again once weu've made it. But when one of us does it, it feels to me like i do it too, that they do it for all of us. The last situation involved a friend of mine who was one of four officers who confronted an armed suspect and he turned round o started firing at them. And at that point there's no choice. That's what you take an oath to do, to serve and protect.
