Those Books Are Just Inextricably Important Works That Need to Be Out There

I'm in no way trying to deny the existence of the profit motive. But there's something else going on, which is to say that these are just intrinsically important works that to be out there. Independently of whether or not these books are financially successful, they should be published because they are an important integral, even part of world culture. They ill serve the interests of generations of scholars, hopefully long after you and i are gone.
