God has built conscience into human nature, and so it's natural for everyone to periodically have a conscience check. The holy spirit may even illuminate our consciences in a particularly intense, even mystical type of way. But all the illuminations that have taken place thus far aren't what we're looking at in this episode. Instead, we're talking about a single moment in time when god is supposed to give everyone on earth a powerful, mystical examination of conscience.
