What Is an Idol?
An idol is a wish made tangible and given form. Yet it is still a thought and cannot leave the mind. What purpose has an idol, then what is it for? Each worshipper of idols harbors hopes his special desires will give him more than other men possess. When one fail, sanother takes its place, with hope of finding more of something else.
