The Raga study is by Lee et al. It was published in 2022 in JAMA and it was titled The Effect of Regional versus General Anesthesia on Incidents of Postoperative Delirium for Older Patients Undergoing Hip Fracture Surgery. So this trial had 950 patients aged 65 years and older with the without preexisting dementia and they had a fragility fracture that required surgical repair. These patients were randomized to receive either regional anesthesia, which could be spinal, epidural, or both techniques combined without any sedation. And we have a primary outcome that is delirium within the first seven postop days using the CAM or confusion assessment method.
