I think that he does identify, though, like a real tension in those, which is that on the one hand, you have the appearance of complexity and disorder. That's an inherent kind of contradiction. In some ways, actually, it's more interesting because it's big and singular and architecturally powerful. But once you've decided you don't like those things, it's much less interesting because it is all the same. And I think generally, architectural prescriptions which say you mustn't do all this stuff, it's pointless. It's just stupid.
