So-called Oxfordians continue to lead the charge in the authorship debate. They contend that only an aristocrat could have known about courtly life, manners and sports. Edward Devere spent a bunch of time in Italy during the 1570s. His trip oddly mirrors the settings for Shakespeare's plays. For instance, the plays make reference to the sculptures of Giuliano Romano.
