When the c d c told vaccinated people that they didn't have to wear masks, the science was definitely correct. Masks are way more about protecting other people from our spit than protecting the wearer from arisal particles of the virus. But since the primary and effective purpose of surgical masks always been to contain the users germs, the idea that vaccinated people could forego wearing masks made sense from a behavior standpoint.
