A collection of short stories. The book is structured in three parts. They all center on this woman, young hay,. who is a parttime graphic artist and home maker. Though it is never told from her perspective, she is the titular vegetarian. And every one else we meet in the book is either related to her, or caring for her in some way. It's definitely stories that are meant to be read in sequence together. We don't like to jump around or anything like that.
