How to Handle Failure in the First Year of a PhD
In terms of advice, I always try to ask a advice question. But yeah, do you have some like advice to someone who's getting started or even like an experienced researcher? One thing I learned in the first year is that the most solutions you come up with almost never works at the first shot. Some percent of the time it doesn't work because there's a bug. And then once you find the bug, it works. So if you kind of move on right when it starts failing, then you might pass up something and actually does work.
