The Dark Patterns of the Cookie Law in Sweden

The law was implemented to unify e-commerce and trading laws across Europe. With this law, as of the 13th of June, all of Europe is trading under the same conditions. The idea behind that was to encourage more cross-border sales so that you and Sweden start buying more things online from Spain or whatever. It's also meant to update and modernize trading laws. Not every country was in this boat. Some countries have been really quite good with keeping things updated. Here in the UK, on the other hand, the e-commerce law hadn't been updated since 1997.
