There's a coexistence within these songs where the two parties seem to have understood that something has ended but not completely. That impact song has a happy ending. Like, it wasn't true to life because Cassie and I are still friends. She's all I have as far as family anymore. And so it's difficult to disentangle ourselves. We're separate.
