The Music in Leylo and Stitch

Alan Sylvester was hired to be the composer for Leylo and Stitch. He's probably not the right person to compose a film with a lot of native Hawaiian music in it, Lily says. But when you read this oral history, you come upon a lot of comments from the composer and the directors who were like, oh, I went to a Virgin Megastore looking for music, specifically Hawaiian music. And you could find like two CDs of Hawaiian music. That quote is intended to illustrate that Hawaiian music was extremely underrepresented in the mainland US at that time.
