"Dancing for the illing to come" is an act of faith, says baty. "The dancing itself is helping you to release from your own control and your own stuck in your own headness," she writes. The more Baty danced, the more she saw images of her beloved eclesia as a woman who had been bound up by slavery. She said we are individually released and find healing when we go back to our church.
