When we joined the EU, like, the British system did not gel very well with the continental system. So when the EU laws were being, we were forced to like, transfer of the EU laws. Our case law, like we suddenly started, but the books we had of law just started ballooning. And this was very, very uncommon for the UK, because the UK had been based on precedent and common law.
