The Importance of Embracing Trans People
Debate can make some people more intolerant of things that actually hurt people, he says. "I have a student that's trans and they, at points, have very much like, embraced and spoken about in that rounds" The biggest problems are for understanding different perspectives but also being open to others' views on the same issues as your own. 'If you're not doing what I'm doing, you're doing it wrong,' one person told another during debate.
