Hagel: Spinoza says there is only one substance, and thought and extension are two attributes of this one substance. The corporeal and the incorporeal are actually shere ity in the one substance, or that spinoza also calls god a. Hegel takes spinoza to mean that every individual thing, like you, or me, or the books sitting around me, or whatever, is a negation of the one infinite substance.
