The Chinese response this time was to literally send 50,000 troops and carry out multiple transgressions in five or six different points on the LAC. So it's very difficult to understand the argument that the Chinese make that they were only responding because both sides are actually negotiating is on India's demand for a return to the status quo. The fact is that India is quite clear who sort of took steps to change the situation.
