The Importance of Labels in Interface Design

If you have different types of meaning icons next to each other, the closer they are, they will mean different things because they help each other take on the meaning of the other one. There is actually, well, these very few standards to do with icons. At least in the digital space, we don't have a huge amount of standards to go on. But there is ISO 700001, which is the standard for public information symbols. And that specifies graphical symbols for signages used as public information.
