If you train the rhythm, you will eventually be better entrained to fall asleep when you want and to wake up when you want. Try to start your social activities on the weekends or during the week earlier so they end earlier. Avoid caffeine consumption maybe other than a little bit of green tea after midday after about noon. But if you go through the Starbucks drive through it 4pm because you're having this late afternoon crash and then you can't sleep this could be a good reason why.
