The Cobra Effect in India

The cobra effect is named after the situation, but it was something that extended across the world. The colonial british authorities in general hated whenever anything good happened to the actual population of india. So they cancelled this cobra hunting plan and stopped paying out bounties for cobra skins. And without the bounty, these cobra farmers said, oh, these skins are worthless. All these captive cobras we have, they're now pointless. So, you know, we're snake meat.
