Socrates and the City of Athens
There are three main positions on justice given they're not quite three definitions there's more than three definitions but each of the characters at Socrates encounters is a little bit slippery and sort of changes his definition a few times. One character with the old man Kefelis who is the head of the household he's like paternal and religious authority he seems to embody that aspect of the city now what he himself says about justice is in in in Socrates's formulation it is telling the truth and paying back one's debts and I am going to suggest that Kefeles provides us an old man's very conservative definition of justice.
