Adverse Childhood Experiences
I don't blame people for being poor and depressed or having abusive spouses, all of which increase adverse childhood experiences. That is part of social circumstances. Not every one who is in those conditions is subjecting their children to the same adverse experiences, but i don't blame them. When i look at that frequency increasing the more deprived you are, there's going to be some explanation other than simply people who are poorer are on aveage poorer choices. I take the point, and i agree with very much of what you have said,. But there is a danger of leading one therefore to the conclusion, if a man sexually abuses his child, and he has himself been the victim of sexual abuse
