Walking Away From Chappelle
The comedian was doing a scene and there was a camera person, as I recall, who had this kind of cackling laugh. There was something about the sound of it where he was convinced. Oh, God, all my fears are coming true. This is giving people fodder to believe the same wrong headed things. And that moment really resonates for me because the horror of that moment isn't just that you go, Oh, wait, I have, you know, sort of fed this racism. What's like been sort of co opted into this other thing. It reminds me of listening to Dave Chappelle talk about walking away from Chappelle.
