Introduction
The tulip was a flower brought to the Netherlands at the end of the 16th century. The event known as tulip mania only lasted a little more than three years before it crashed in 1637. But centuries later and across the Atlantic, a new fad would rage in America. Although no one went looking for this particular thing, it was vastly more terrifying than a tulip bulb because of one special detail. This thing came looking for us.
