The Importance of Consistency in Creative Work

The second piece of this that I see holding people up a lot of the time has to do with their sense of deserving. Oftentimes we throw that to do list up and we say, "I don't get to make things unless I do the dishes first" And that we use that continually as a way to protect ourselves because if we are to go into work, it's scary. We have to sit in a space that is not outcomes oriented. A lot of the times it's more satisfying to do those dishes, to respond to those people to send off an email because it scratches an itch. There's a reward that you get with completing that task.
