The Quality of Telemedicine in a Pandemic
Patients are more positive than physicians, but even among patients, about a third said that the quality in their video visit was worse than what it could be in person. PCP's thought that video visits provided the same or better quality for mental health provision and triage of folks who might have COVID symptoms. But overall, they didn't have great ratings on the quality in terms of what it can be, even in a pandemic context. Two thirds said it was worse for the quality was worse for routine or preventive care - things you want it to be good for.
