The End Game of Capitalism

When the great engine of capitalism ground to a halt this past spring, it was like a veil was lifted. Once you awaken, once the veil is lifted, there's no going back. You can't go back into unconsciousness. And for me at least, the stage usually involves a lot of shame. I talked before on this podcast about how we yearn for transformation,. The current cultural conversation casts transformation as an incredibly positive, desirable thing. In fact, transformation is slow, and messy, and difficult, and almost always quite painful.
