Ukranian History - Death by Hunger

In ucranian history, it's the period is referred to as halodomor, which is death by hunger. Because of an enforced policy of starvation under stolen and while ukraine was still the bread basket of the soviet union they were starving to death. So either you took food from your children, or you decided to eat the dead, or all of these other choices that you had to have made to survive. It obviously had a really dar formative historical perspective on how ukraine views its relationship with russia.
