The Power of Choice

Julian's temptation was to focus on what she'd lost and Jesus was inviting her to enter into the God who was longing to surround her with hope and light. The first thing he did is identified completely with suffering met her in suffering. That's what the bread of the Eucharist is. He meets us in suffering and then transfuses us with his life.
