The Rise and Fall of Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat 2 was released on September 9, 1994. Nintendo bowed to competitive and customer demand by including all of the gore and spine-ripping fatalities. In less than a month, 700,000 copies of the new and improved game sold in the US. On October 10, 1994, a sequel to the blockbuster PC game Doom was also released. And this time, hell on Earth, was available in stores for $69.95.
