Offshore wind is different to onshore wind. It's not quite the same as sticking a onshore turbine onto a foundation. The technology has to withstand at least 20 or 25 years of some crushing brutal conditions in the oceans. If you can go and tap those ocean resources, it can help you out when you're tapping out of your onshore resources.
