The Importance of Networking
Amy Chang: I think people misunderstand what networking means and the people that approach it as kind of a trying to harvest from it type attitude. The reason I got on the board of Informatica so far was through serendipitous network connections. Chuck Robbins who's the CEO of Cisco became a good friend because he was an avid user for our product for a company. So when God was looking for a new board member, we already knew each other right so God free asked me to come on to the board of Splunk. And so every single board opportunity has been the result of Serendipitous Networking.
