How to Avoid Disadvantage on Range Attacks

You have disadvantage if you're within five feet of someone. The 150 is the upper limit after which then you have a disadvantage again because it's a long range shot. Between 150 and 600, you can still shoot that, but you just have disadvantage on that one. What is the minimum range that you need to avoid disadvantage on a range attack? You are the archer. Technically I'm a fighter. It says on range 150 feet to 600, but I don't know if that means that I have disadvantage below 150. That doesn't seem right.
