Lacan's Discourse Without Words

Lacan is trying to work at what he calls here a fundamental formula for this utterance. If you've studied Lacan before, you've probably seen this formula as well. It pops up on page 12 and it's an early rough formulation. But I would argue that what you see happening here is the early stages of a discourse without words on surplus enjoyment.
