Spraying Black Currant Fields With Probiotics Could Improve Yields

Researchers in Lithuania tested whether spraying black currents with a range of different probiotics might help. They discovered that when they sprayed the fields with both of the probiotics, it yielded 780 grams worth of berries. When you compare that to the plot that was sprayed with just water, the thousand berries weighed just 530 grams. So you're talking about a near 50 % increase in yield. The same principle should apply to other fruits like apples, pears and oranges. All of these benefit by having probiotics to enhance the bacterial colonies that are growing on them.
