What Is Race?

I came back from the conference a little bit depressed in that way, just to be around so many black people who have no interest in pretending that they're victims. I think it's a sad thing. A lot of what makes a lot of people hold on to this concept of race is that there's a certain comfort in exaggerating your victimhood if you're not really a victim. There's a comfort in it. It gives you a purpose and membership and even a kind of nobility. But it's not real and it's not progressive. And it's never most of them were Tories, John. That's interesting. Do you know that? They were members of the Conservative Party.
