The Early Days of Snowboarding
Brett's first snowboard was a gift from his dad on Valentine's Day 1991. Growing up, snowboarding in Quebec was awesome. The coldest snowboard he ever had was minus 59 with the windshield. He and other young skiers would build their own jumps and just kind of free riding.
Hailing from Quebec, Canada DCP was the frontman for the famed 418 crew that started the migration of pro snowboarders moving east to west that wanted out of the streets and into the back country, making a name for him self through amazing video part’s and of course for jumping what is now dubbed the DCP cliff. This week we talk Uninc, Yes Snowboards, Shattering the C6, Yoga, breath work, Costa Rica, the Passion Compass, a positive mind set, CBDayz, Good Times With Dave, staying stoked and so much more. In 2003 while filming for Kingpin Productions movie “Back In Black” DCP spun one of the largest backside 360’s ever seen off of an absurdly large cliff cementing a name for himself in the sport of snowboarding as well as having a spot named after him “The DCP Cliff”. Join us as we sit down with one of the most positive forces in the sport of snowboarding David Carrier Porcheron a.k.a. DCP and hear about his journey from Chicoutimi, Canada to filming in the peaks of Alaska and surfing the waves of Costa Rica as well as everything in between on this week’s episode of The Bomb Hole!
