"I feel like an outsider as the only person on this call who hasn't published a book. I've been writing online for 20 years," O'Shaughnessy says. "The legacy publishing industry seems to be trying to fit everything into the mold of books, which is what they've known for decades" He adds: "There's all kinds of ways of keeping the thing more alive and creating this relationship with readers that I don't feel the publishing industry is really doing"
