Are Sunquakes Caused by Magnetism?

11 solar flares coincided with blasts of X-rays that hinted at the presence of high energy electrons. This is far higher than you would see when solar flares occur in the absence of sunquakes. And so this all lends weight to the idea that it may be magnetic activity that is causing these particular flares, and also creating beams of electrons which plunge into the Sun's photosphere. But we don't really know whether this explanation would apply to sunquakes that have been observed without strong X-rays. So what we're going to need is some more observations to really untangle it all.
