The indictment doesn't actually specify what that alleged second crime is. But we suspect it's violating campaign finance laws because the hush money payments were allegedly done to prevent damage to Donald Trump's presidential campaign, which would make them campaign donations. This does seem like a very complex case to prove. Some liberal commentary in papers like the New York Times saying that they weren't very convinced by the case. There have been some suggestions that Bragg was right, not to include more details in the indictment so that it didn't look like a sort of politicised pylon.
