"I feel like community is not something that you know is missing unless you've experienced it personally," he says. "It's the breaking of the bread, right? And the sharing of the cup." He asks: How do we celebrate the sacraments together? and what does it mean to actually be a community?" A lot of people in parish life have just gotten used to the way things are without being able to experience this communal element, he says.
