Lists and Shareability
I'm really fascinated by the aspect of shareability because I think that is one key quality of the list. In terms of literature lists are moments of windows across time in terms of literature so you have as Liam said ancient lists in literature in oral cultures for example in the Iliad and classical literature. Can then transplant themselves across time in for example Troza or Dante in medieval literature would use those lists and add their own lists or parody them or write a set on them consciously referring back. So that moment of sharing and perpetuating themselves across time seems to be a key aspect of literary lines and literary lists themselves.
